The “Kundalika Valley” in the Tamhini Wildlife Sanctuary of the Sahyadri mountain range is pleasant, attractive and beautiful. It is parallel to the Andharban jungle trail. Kundalika Valley connects the Pune and Raigad districts. Also, the source of the Kundalika River is here. The river further widens and joins the Arabian Sea via Revdanda Bay.
The trek starts from the top of the valley and descends into the river bed. It is a wonderful experience to descend into the deep valley of the Kundalika. We slowly descend a narrow path through the dense forest. All this journey takes place through dried river stones. In some places, you can even see large stones.
The descent is a challenging but rewarding experience, with plenty of opportunities to see the valley from different perspectives. There are some natural water tanks in Kundalika Valley.
Kundalika Valley Trek is a moderate to difficult trek best suited for experienced trekkers. If you’re looking for a challenging and rewarding adventure in the Sahyadri Mountains, the Kundalika Valley Trek is a great option.
