Kalsubai Peak is named after Kalsubai, a revered figure in local folklore believed to possess medicinal knowledge and serve the villagers. The peak is home to a small temple dedicated to Kalsubai Devi, visited by devotees throughout the year.

The best time to visit Kalsubai for trekking is during the winter months (October to February) when the weather is pleasant and the skies are clear. Avoid the monsoon season (June to September) due to slippery trails and potential landslides.
