Raireshwar Plateau
Lying southwest of Bhor-Pune, this is a prominent 8km long plateau. At the temple here, Shivaji Maharaj as a teen-aged boy vowed to establish “Swarajya”. It is a place of worship. There is a small village at the top.
There are many approaches to this plateau; from Rayari village, Korle village or a long zigzag ridge connects the plateau to Kenjalgad. The breath-taking views and the feeling of untouched nature is just mind-blowing. Ideal place for a one-day trek.
The places worth visiting on Raireshwar are Raireshwar Temple, Gomukh Lake, Nakhinda, and Pandavleni. It is a very beautiful place to visit from June to February.
Koleshwar plateau is a beautiful and relatively untouched plateau that provides us with one of the best combinations of forest, rocks, bushes, & trails. The plateau is named after the ancient Koleshwar Temple located at the top of the plateau. It is a peaceful and secluded temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. On the large top, few families stay isolated from modern life.
Koleshwar is a huge mountain plateau that stretches as long as Mahabaleshwar. Trek to this plateau offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Western Ghats, including the Dhom Dam, Kamalgad Fort, and the Krishna River. The trail goes through patches of dense forests, open grasslands, and rocky patches, offering diverse terrain for trekkers.
Arthur’s Seat is 4396 ft. high. From Arthur’s seat point one can clearly see the geographical distinction of Konkan and Deccan. Also, we can get mesmerizing view of the Mahabaleshwar range including Pratapgad Fort, Koleshwar Plateau, Raireshwar and Chandragad Fort. The arrangement of rocks on the southern side is compared with the world-famous rocks of “Grand Canyon, Colorado” in the USA.
The queen of all points, Arthur’s Seat point got its name after “Arthur Mallet” as he was the first man to come here and build a house. He sat here and gazed at the Savitri River, where he lost his wife and children in a tragic ferry mishap.

@SG-Trekkers the out of the way things you do like bringing soup for everyone, introducing the family who served us food and appreciating them, buying strawberries for everyone is what sets you apart from everyone else.
