The “Kundalika Valley” in the Tamhini Wildlife Sanctuary of the Sahyadri mountain range is very pleasant, attractive and beautiful. It is parallel to the Andharban jungle trail. Kundalika valley connects Pune and Raigad districts. Also, the source of the Kundalika River is here. The river further widens and joins the Arabian Sea via Revdanda bay.
Wonderful experience of descending into the deep valley of the Kundalika. We are slowly descending a narrow path through the dense forest. All this journey takes place through the dried river stones. In some places, you can even see large stones.
There are some natural water tanks in Kundalika valley. The water here is very transparent and clean. This water flows to the Bhira dam.
MUST DO TREK – BY EXPERIENCED TREKKERS!
The importance of the Kundalika valley trek is that it is not possible to trek all year round. We can only visit here between March and May.
Very few trekkers have visited this valley.
