The Railing Plateau is named after the two forts it overlooks – Raigad Fort and Lingana Fort. You can enjoy some impressive views of these historic forts from the plateau.

The trek to the Railing Plateau is relatively easy and can be completed by people of all fitness levels. The trail is well-maintained and mostly flat, making it a great option for families with children or those new to trekking.

Day-wise Schedule

Day 1
Pune » Railing Plateau Sunset Trek » Pune

Depart from Pune by 13:00 hrs.
Meet our representative at your pick-up point. We will then proceed by private vehicle to the starting point of our trek.

Upon reaching Mohari village, begin our trek towards the Railing Plateau. The trail is well-defined and easy to follow, with a gradual ascent. The entire trek route is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a refreshing escape from the city.

Reach the Railing Plateau and be mesmerized by the stunning sunset view. Witness the sky ablaze with vibrant colours as the sun dips below the horizon, casting a magical glow over the surrounding landscape. Enjoy the panoramic views of the forts, valleys, and mountains bathed in the golden light of the setting sun.

After enjoying the mesmerizing sunset, reach the base village and have dinner.

Enjoy the mesmerizing sight of fireflies lighting up the forest as you trek through the trails. Fireflies are most active during the night, so this is the best time to see them. The trails are usually short and easy, winding through forests and fields.

Depart from Mohari/Velhe and return to Pune; filled with memories of our Railing Plateau – Sunset Spl. Trek.

Arrive back in Pune by 23:00 hrs. (approx.)
